... the weather gave to me a couple feet of snow on the ground!
And man alive, it is still coming down out there!
In spite of the inclimate weather, I still had to go out to dialysis although the unit shortened everyone's treatment and cancelled the evening shift. The transportation company sent a stretcher for me thinking that would be easier than having me walk down my stairs and out to the parking lot and then try to get my wheelchair through. They still borrowed my shovels though, and cleared the way.
Coming home was lots worse after the entire day of storm. I was surprised they could even get in my complex. They borrowed my shovels again and cleaned things up then nearly dropped me coming up the stairs! I was hanging on for dear life, tilted all the way to one side at a sickening angle while they changed which man was at the head and which one at the feet. I don't ride roller coasters because I hate that swooping sensation. I was just about to beg them to unbuckle me so I could get up and walk the rest of the way to my door when they suddenly got it unstuck and UP! I went onto the porch.
Just those few minutes outside left me soaked. So now I'm in, have changed clothes, and am making hot coffee while my hair dries.
There were no messages for me when I got back, so now I'm wondering how all my friends in the region are making out tonight. I so hope everyone has power and is safe and warm!
So winter arrived in full array to Maine, coming in with a three-storm bang. Another one is expected on Wednesday!
Merme *glad to be home*
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I want that weather! It would make it feel more Christmasy.....we won't have a white Christmas this year. Merme, I'm so glad they DIDN'T drop you. What a fall that would've been.
My brother called me today and he was in the garage smoking and you could hear the wind whipping thru the cracks of the doors....wow it was loud. Blizzard conditions like you said Kim. I'm jealous. I actually would love a foot or two of the white fluffy stuff. Nowhere to go, nothing to do so bring it on.
I am cold at 60 degrees. It hasn't been over 50 all weekend and then it barely gets there and drops fast. It will be an interesting week with a lot of rain/drizzle/rain. We need the water so Santa is being kind to us this year. I will be thankful.

It is nearly 2 am. The falling snow is finally tapering down, but it is blowing and blowing like crazy out there! The drifts are becoming huge. The guys who come dig us out usually come early so that's good.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
My girl had a hard time digging out her driveway this morning because she doesn't do it periodically during the storming, but she did manage to get out although it took her a long time! When I had driveways to dig I always did them from time to time so I wouldn't have such a massive task at the end!
It is cold here today and terribly terribly windy, but the snowing has stopped for now. It surely looks fantastic out there!

well Ladies it was cold today for sure--but not too windy and the sun was shining brightly all day---I do so hope they are mistaken aobut the "wintery mix" they say is coming.....
