I finally collected my mail after a few days of not. There was a package in there for me from Carol. She sent me some flavored teas and a small wrapped package. I didn't wait too long to open it. There is a beautiful Precious Moments angel ornament holding a crystal star. It is heartwarming and I thank you so much.

OMG Carol - that ornament is just ADORABLE!!! clap

What a perfect and precious thing for you to send, Carol, and what a lucky Diane to receive it!!!thumbup

BUT... Diane is not the only LUCKY one!

I got an OH-SO-SWEET gift from thoughtful Carol as well!
It's most appropriately named... "That's what friends are for"! kissie
Carol has been there for me the past year or so, when I've been having some difficulties in my personal life, and I could not now express how appreciative I am for that, if I tried! But I hope you know how much I value your friendship, Carol! kissie

Look at the BEAUTIFUL wrappings my gift came in! And the card picture was not overlooked either, as I am often telling Carol about the deer in my yard, or on the roads nearby - she is very clever!

The gift could not be more appropriate, as I've said, and I am so touched by it, Carol!!!
Thank you so very much for always being there, and being my friend! kissie

Oh, and a very special gift was tucked under all the bubble wrap - I almost didn't see it! nervous It' a wonderful Chanukah stamp - yes, it's spelled differently from how I usually do, but it gets the point across! thumbup (my camera has died, so I can't post a picture of it unfortunately.) I LOVE to embellish my envelopes, etc - this will be great - thanks soooooo much, Carol!

I feel the same way---While I have not been thru what Diane has, I was, and still am, greatful for this Forum and the people in it. They helped me get thru all of my surgeries and the slow and seditary recovery of this last surgery. thumbup--
Did I mention I am not done healing from that yet--so ya all are not "off the hook" yet!!

I should of found The Garden helper long long ago.....

so, scott calls me today at work. he was off. he said you got a package today from carol jean! i said clap yay, it came! clap he asked how i knew about it, i told him a frog told me

in it was a wonderful precious moments ornament titled "love one another". it is beautiful, and probably won't get "put away". but that wasn't all.

there was another package in the box. it was a pair of individual spoon rests, like you might use when you are having coffee or tea (or in my case, hot chocolate grin ) they are beautiful, and knowing our carol jean, made by her own hand. i will try to get pictures soon.

thank you so much more than words could ever say kissie

you are so very welcome, Jiffy, I just wish the pkg. had of made it to your house BEFORE Christmas---(You now own a box that is a seasoned U.S. traveler... rolz)
----BUT those ceramic pieces are actually butter cups (for individual pats of butter)
that I make to hold tea bags.. But since you are a chocolate fan---then yes spoon rests they are !!! clap

FYI: yep made by my own hand !!!!!

I was not really correcting you , Jiffy---actually I had not thought of using them as spoon rests, but you can be sure I will be doing so now..THAT is a great idea... thumbup

I have only used them as buttercups one time--for a luncheon I had a long while back.

So now they are officially dual purpose....spoon rests and tea bag holders..!!! grin

Well Carol, you made an item that's useful for many things I'd say. That's the only way to do it.

Great gifts everyone.
