Hello everyone! I haven't been on for awhile due to computer memory and hard drive problems. (On my 256 computer, actual memory requirement was 384 and at one point my hard drive was down to 1% free space due to having nearly 3500 pics)
Anyway, I thought I'd post some of my best pics of the year as a recap.
4/19/2008 I had put this orange out to try to attract a Baltimore Oriole, but instead attracted a male Red-Bellied Woodpecker.
I don't waste a lot of time trying to "compose" shots of birds. They're too quick. Instead I take a bunch of pics. Most of them will suck, but a few will be great. I can just delete the ones that suck. I love my digital camera!!
That's how you do it! For every bird picture posted there are hundreds that are JUNK! This year, for Father's Day, my son got me a Canon EOS Rebel XSi camera with an EF 75-300mm zoom lense. He bought himself the Nikon D-80. He likes to do animal pictures at the zoo. I do bird and nature photography. My camera takes 30-50 pictures in a 10 second period. It's GREAT for action, flight, and Hummingbird shots. I have an 8-Gb card that holds about 1,400 pictures at a time. I can afford to take a lot of pictures! I just delete the junk ones and modify the rest and eliminate the worst of those, and further process the remaining ones. Finally, I have reduced 100 pics down to just 5-10 GOOD pics.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes..
