I didn't realise you don't celebrate Boxing Day in the US. I didn't know much about Black Friday, but I have heard that shopping at the sales can be a contact sport over there. I guess with bargains like those you mentioned, Thornius, it's no wonder.
Benjismum, we are playing South Africa, and I think they are a good chance to win it. As you probably know, Australia is at a bit of a low ebb when it comes to cricket. I heard your team is in India at the moment; haven't heard much about the results, but it's tough to beat India these days. They are a great side.
The stores here are taking the same approach as yours in the UK; the sales have already started.

Oh......sorry, no puns meant.. We just are a bunch of bargain hunters here and day after christmas I found is gooooooooooooood. Yacht watching would be different tho. I do like to watch the biggies sail. Airplanes too......... Do you eat the crickets? Ha! cricket is a very strange game, dodge . It has a few different lengths of game, from a few hours to 5 days. It was invented by the English, but many of the commonwealth countries, being a bit eccentric ourselves, also took up the sport. The version most likely to take off in the US would be 20-20. That's a very fast and furious version of it, and I reckon it would go well over there.

Yeah, football is probably the number one game here as well, but Australian rules football- I bet you would love it!!
My wife is part English as well, but she has only been there a couple of times.

I'm ok with horses, as long as I don't have to ride one or buy one for my girls!! My first (and last) trail ride wasn't a great success. The horse knew I couldn't ride, and made the most of it. Tried to wipe me off on a tree a couple of times.

I've owned three horses in my life and boarded several others. I can ride fairly well, or could at ONE time. I prefer to treat horses as giant dogs and companions, rather than a means of transportation. Native Americans, on seeing horses for the first time, gave them the name, "God Dogs". I've had two quarter horse mares, Molly and Polly, and an Appaloosa Stallion named Joe. Joe was the aweetest, gentlest, friendliest, horse I've ever seen. He was also the ONLY horse to ever send me to the hospital. Polly was like a BIG sister to me. She got me over my fear of horses and taught me to be a good rider. she and I would run at a full gallop for kilometers, jumping fences, logs, ditches, and ANYTHING else that got in our way. I just wish that I had been on her back when we were galloping for kilometers, instead of running beside her.

Thorn......stay with Birds.........
Steve
I know your pain. I had 3 horses we rode. After they invented 3 and 4 wheelers , I got spoiled and quit. Well they were aged by then and went to pony heaven.
One was so bad we sold it. Little type kept biting.. Hated everything.
Had a red quarterhorse and a beige something. Beige was so lazy...... Quarterhorse was nasty like you said...They should not allow those on a trail with kids.

I know some horses can be nice. Thorn's Polly sounds like a good one. Dodge, I have encountered the bitey horses too. They are unpleasant. I'll stick with our cats. They bite sometimes, but only love bites.

My rabbits bite. Bags has sent me to the hospital ER for some sutures before. He and Bow USUALLY give me gentle friendly nips that don't hurt, just startle.

Polly has been a skeleton in Alexandria, Tennessee, U.S.A. for 36 years now. If there is ANYTHING left of her. She passed away of old age and cancer during a Springtime thunderstorm in 1972.

In the papers I got with the camera..It shows some, but they only make it about 1.2 feet closer?????
I did see them under other names online, have to do more reasearch.
b Actually Dodge, you get a MAGNIFICATION of 1.5. That means that instead of a maximum magnification of 48X you can get a magnification of 72X. I don't think it's actually a telephoto lens though, they call it a tele-converter. They also have a wide-converter for group shots and wider angle landscape shots. I looked them both up on Amazon.com and the wide-converter started at $130 used or best new price $141.86 including shipping. The tele-converter's best price was direct from Amazon for $100.40 with free shipping.

Thorn keeps changing the story. He said you cant for our camera. Then he says he is sending Sheri one. ( Free?)
Question My do you have to add something to the the camera to put those tele converters on the s5 canon?

dodge, you know I'm just teasing Thorn, right?
Johnny went to Wolfe Camera and was told there aren't attachments for our camera. I hadn't read this about the tele converter but you'd think he would have mentioned it.
