I prefer to see you not in stripes, Bill. Stay in, warm and safe. Right before I escaped from the second hospital, they brought me a set of patient garb that was exactly like the surgeons.... I looked like a fuzzy Dr. Kildare... but it was 3 sizes too small so they brought a new outfit that fit.... it was light blue and covered with bells and flowers.... I'll take the stripes, thank you!

Our traditions have always revolved around the idea that what you do on New Year's is pretty much what you will be doing all year.
Yep that idea is one we always have to.
So, at midnight, hold silver coins in your hand so you'll have money all year.
We have a silver tradition also but it goes along with the black eyed peas.
Never eat chicken on NYE or NYDay because then you'll have to scratch for your living all year.
Don't recall ever eating chicken on NYE or Day but Still I have always been scratching for a living it seems.
Eat black eyed peas on NYDay for prosperity and blessing.
Our tradition is to put 3 silver dimes ( and I am still using the ones that my Mother and her Mother used )in the black eyed peas just before you serve them and the person who finds them in their share will have good fortune all year.
So dig some coins out, my friend, and get yourself a midnight blessing -- you're going to need it!

Jeremy went to bed at about 12:03. He is usually in bed at 9 or 10. Atleast he stayed up with us tonight. He got in on our new years picture. I have a picture of me and Brennan every year at exactly midnight on new years. I guess that's our tradition. I like the thought of whatever you are doing at midnight you'll be doing the rest of the year. I know that every year I'll be with my baby.
