This predator has been looking for breakfast at my feeders (from across the street). I have caught him twice now. I knew something was up this morning when I heard no birds chirping! I'm almost certain it's a Coopers Hawk. He's always perched in the same spot (in the East) right where/when the sun is rising so it's hard to get a good look without looking into the sun. The neighbors garage door opening scared him away and out came the song birds.

Hey good shot of him,,,,,,,,, I see hawks a lot at work,, I take my camera with me but sometimes forget to take it outside at break,, of course when I forget to take the camera out with me I see them pretty close and they sit for a good while,,,,, I won't give up trying,,

Cooper's and SHarp-Shinned are almost IDENTICAL in every way. Making it hard to get a positive ID many times. I have a Cooper's that stakes out my feeders from time to time, but it never catches anything. This week a Northern Harrier came through my yard.
