you guys spend a lot of time watering huh? I only have a few indoor plants and I put them on the screened in porch in the summer. My outside potted plants usually don't die in the winter. I think the big trees all around protect them. I leave everything outside all year.

Angel--Did you start any of those nice looking cactus from seed or did you buy them all? I've tried doing cactus from seed and got a few to germinate but the container they were in was neglected and dropped too many times....I had some seeds left from last summer so I sprinkled them in all my other containers earliers last fall (maybe 20 or so seeds) and only got one tiny cactus to germinate(I'll post a pic later today)in my Pathos container...Now that I've got the terrarium and the four-foot fixture I'm thinking of trying cactus again but I'm gonna have to wait until March or April when the seed packs reappear...

I could just buy a few cactus plants, but nothing is more rewarding than growing them from seed!

Hi Chris,, No I didn't start any of the cactus from seed,, I've never tried that.
I just buy them small give them tlc and watch them grow, most of the cactus in my picture I've had a few years.

I agree there is nothing more rewarding the watching seeds germinate and grow in to a lovely plant.
Primarily I sow seeds outside in the spring in the flower gardens ,

yep that happens to my daughter also---but the good news is the dogs are kept in the fenced in back yard--So---she can plant a bit in the sides & front.

Here I thought I had lots of house plants, but you gals beat me for sure.

I have lots of huge house plants and not that many smaller ones. I'm constantly being teased about my forest in my house. But I love all my plants.
