Oh wow, I think that is simply Great. I haven't been able to capture one yet.
My next house will have no kitchen - just vending machines and a large trash can.

cool pic! Actually I don't have a hair trigger... It's actually a camera trick I know of... Exposure = 15 seconds ISO = 200 Aperture = F8 So basically I capture any lightning within a 15 second period P.s. Thanks Great shot. I haven't been able to do that either. Thanks

BUT... my ? always is WHY was your camera set to that when the lightening struck?

Exposure = 15 seconds - I set it to 15 seconds to increase my chance of capturing a bolt of lightning ISO = 200 - I set the brightness quite low or otherwise a bolt of lightning would create a pure white photo due to the brightness of the bolt Aperture = F8 - Same reason as ISO I had to try and make the camera take in as little unwanted light as possible

guess I didn't phrase that correctly.
Do you keep your camera at those settings all the time? How come, just when the lightening strikes you're camera is set like that? If not, how do you have the time to set it before the strike?
