Well, the only thing that really rhymes is heaven and that has been used hundreds of times. I didn't want to say anything about a Friday party in case it ran over to Saturday. I miss the old Friday parties though.

It can be a Friday party etc...
I didn't participate too much in the old parties. I still only have dialup out the boonies where I live so I couldn't post fast enough to make sense as I would end up several posts down from what I was talking about. Then because I was so far off, people wouldn't respond to me and I got tired of being ignored. I like it much better when things slow down.

And Roscue, I'm saving up those points for something really good.

Even with DSL I have issues where my posts end up a few back from what I was responding to. I just got better at reading between the lines to figure what people were talking about. But I still get lost sometimes.

I try to hit quote when I think about it, cause even if the conversations aren't going at a fast pace you just never know if 2-3 people will post something at the same time and your message is still lost. So, did someone say something about a party??? I have some chips!

Hi everyone ~
Maxi & I arrived home at the same time today. It is really good to see the kid.
We had taco salad for dinner tonight, made with Catalina rather than taco seasoning. We also added finely diced cucumber. It was YUMMY!
We watched "The Singing Nun" and Maxi liked Debbie Reynolds as much as I thouht he would.
Going to go press some coffee now.

Hi all, I just watched the end of The Singing Nun too- I agree one of the better movies-- now that song will be in my head forever.... Joe and I went out for breakfast for a change and I am still not very hungry- we will make some burritos later on but neither of us want to eat yet... gave Mom a homemade tv dinner- she eats sometimes... she has lost so much weight that I should buy her some more clothes already- the size 12's I got her are hanging on her now- We got a little bit of snow here today, just a dusting but the mountains got a lot- they are telling people if they don't have to go up wait till tomorrow... cold too- dropped 35* since yesterday.... brrrrrrrr. I think I will go make some hot tea for me and watch Ghost Whisperer... it's one of my favorites.... Nana

oh, I used to watch ghost whisperer. I didn' realize it even still came on. I'm not sure what the fam is watching. I'm outside burning in my little fire pit and listening to music - nothing better! well, except hubby just made some cinamon toast. mmmm...mmmmm...I might just have another slice!

I'm woefully tired tonight. I had some trouble at dialysis today, even though I slept some. I also dozed for a while this evening, sprawled on the couch. I got too cozy under the afghan to stay awake for long! But I'm still tired. Maxi seems subdued also, so we'll be having an early night tonight. I am going to make some Red rose tea in my favorite "I :ding: Mom" mug Maxi gave me several years ago for Mother's Day. It is very oversized and has green hearts all the way around it. When he gave it to me, he put a little white Teddy Bear inside. I let him keep the Teddy.... I had the feeling he really liked it! Nana we were supposed to get snow today also, but didn't. The air got real heavy with moisture and the sky got dark and overcast, but nothing ever happened. Merme

I am getting rain. It has been trying to rain for a couple of days, teasing us. But tonight it is real rain and we need it badly. It is also a warm rain, about 60*, warm for January which makes it pleasant to live with as well.

Well, I am up and greeting myself this morning. I am beginning my second cup with a pair of aspirin. I woke with a headache and the first cup didn't chase it away.

I should have a headache, but mainly I'm just annoyed! I'm helping my son clean his room, really clean it. we're taking everything out that he is going to keep, bagging up throw away, and give away, and belongs in another room stuff. then cleaning the room top to bottom and putting everything back in. geez! It could be an hour and a half job, but he has to look at everything for 30 seconds and talk about each thing and wonder around the room. he's making me crazy! we just took a break so we didn't strangle each other. going back in now to give it another try. wish us luck!

We are making a lazy day of it. We had a yummy breakfast and then I made a big bowl of fruit salad with a sour cream dressing. Oranges, apples, grapefruit, grapes, cucumber, peaches, pears, banananananas and a couple marishino cheeries for the fun of it. It is quite delicious though an awful lot of peeling and cutting up!
My girl didn't show up again today.

Maxi is being 13 today. He got dressed, groomed the pathway for my wheelchair to the parking lot, then took off to be with his friends for the afternoon after giving me some IMPATIENT tones of voice.
I can stand just about anything but lately he's been coming up with that IMPATIENT tone of voice and it drives me batty!
He knows our rule is that we keep a civil tone of voice around here, regardless.
So I'm all squinty eyed and stern faced because he spoke to me that way a couple of times too often this morning.
TEENAGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, Merme. I was so hoping that Maine was far enough away from the mainstream teen stuff that seems to require an "attitude". It is such a tough thing. My first set of kids didn't give me the heartache of unearned attitude. But, man-oh-man, Jonni made up for the whole bunch of them. She is much better now but it took a hard fact of life to shake it out of her.

Oh, Merme. I was so hoping that Maine was far enough away from the mainstream teen stuff that seems to require an "attitude". We have TV. We have Maxi's dad as a marvelous role model. But Maxi will get over this quickly if he intends to keep a tongue in his head by the time he reaches 14. I'm glad Jonni got past her mouth-stage, Tina. She's pretty young to have won the fight already. Good for her! Good for you! Merme
