still cold but no snow or wind. Usually our snows melts in less than 24 hours but it's so cold it's still here and crunchy. Not nearly as much fun when it's crunchy.
if it is as nice as yesterday, I think I wll go "try" to go out and finally clean up my flower beds.--That needs done yet, since I could not in the fall---

You will all probably get our weather tomorrow. It is 5 here right now. It was 11 this morning and is getting colder as the day goes on. Supposed to get down to -11. Tomorrow it will get to a whole 5.
I don't think anybody would buy it. We could try though. Maybe we could sell it in sections. Tina might take a bit of it every once in a while. Every little bit would help.
it's going to be 48 here today. I don't know what's in the air but everyone's allergies are acting up this month. January is supposed to be so cold that allergies are bad but there's definitely something in the air.
it is in the low 20's here and overcast as well. Tonight or tomorrow some time we too are supposed to be getting a winter storm---plenty of snow & perhpas some ice----I do so hope they have it wrong---Snow is ok--but I do not like ice---
Sheri--are you sure about that nurse????

and while they do have trucks and workers out trying to take care of the highways & interstates in Illinois, many of the secondary roads & such are left alone for long periods---not enough help, money, or vehilces-supplies I guess---
valarie always said Missouri is much better prepared for ice & snow--well at least the metroplitan areas--which is where she lived.
Perhaps it is a money issue around here---

oh yes they are VERY good about that. They will call off school if the weather calls for it. The kids come first.--and most bus routes are cleaned very well. what they do not get to is what the towns are responsible for--Our small towns (like mine) are responsible for their own roads, so they do what they can.---- I used to live in the country--it took them 3 or 4 years to figure out that I needed my road cleaned to be able to get out to take my kids to school---(rod once made it to work 30-40 miles away and all the way home until he could see our house, then he got stuck---he had to get a neighbor with a tractor to get him unstuck.--it was a county road & low on the priority list when it came to cleaning it off.
now I live on a dead end road in town here--& no one cares much---oh well it is what it is I guess

Hi....did Hadeda say 86 degrees??? Gee must be rough!
It is 14 degrees here with 6 new inches of snow. The sun is shining and it is so pretty. Our schools hardly ever close unless we are having white out conditions with wind and snow. Used to tic my daughter off as our local school is famous for never taking snow days.
Sweetheart--it is NOT warming up here--no way no how---My toes are so cold and they will not warm up---I even had them right next to the electric heater--& no dice--- ---
it was warm a few days ago though--getting colder now---

11ยบ outside here...We are still with lots of ice under the snow .. On my mountain only. 2 mile away no ice at all.. I went to town today an almost cried to see how nice the others had it .. One inch of snow and no ice.
Oh well........i win in the summer ......Everyone wants to be out here on my peaceful farm ......Including me..
We are currently sitting at 12 degrees....a nice storm is supposed to arrive tomorrow and stay for a few days. The weather man is saying it should be a "significant winter event"...whatever that means. Well, I know what that means. Everyone is tired of them over predicting snow amounts and they've gotten alot of complaints, so now they aren't really mentioning totals. I did hear 4-8"...I don't consider that a large amount of snow tho.
our ice & snow was supposed to come in beginning at 6pm and go until 5 or 6 tomorrow night---well its 9:59pm and has not began yet. I am hoping it passes us by completely.

Well it is 16 here and cold and we got snow and sleet it started yesterday and no school they are all closed and it is cold as heck so stay warm everyone.
Our snow is supposed to start in the afternoon sometime. We are hearing 3-6" from some forecasters and 4-8" from others...so somewhere around a half foot, I suppose. Stephen has one more day of work tomorrow...and we're hoping that the roads are not bad tomorrow morning (he usually leaves at 4:30am, but he's going to have to give himself extra time if it does what they are saying it will).
No storms here. It is sunny...but cold. Was -5 when I left home this morning. I would imagine it is about 0 right now. I think it is supposed to get into the 20s for the next couple of days though. That will be a nice relief. We could use a fresh coating of snow. All the snow we have looks so dirty and gross!!
