It was the only one they had left.

Lowes is goofy.. About a month ago I bought Bromeliads there for $2. a pot of 3 and bigger than this flower. Today they had the same flower out but smaller, it was $15. for 3..........

They always have sales at lowes here,, I need to get there I haven't been in a while,,

My Lowe's doesn't have sales. They put out dead flowers once in a while for 1 or 2 dollars and I've bought mums a time or two but the other stuff is usually annuals that won't come back.

I thought I was getting a bargain like you at Home Depot until I got to the cash register. I told the girl it rang up wrong, she called someone and said the sign was wrong. It was supposed to be 10 hyanciths and 70 anemones (bulbs)for $3.49; I knew it was too good to be true...

Keep us up to date on your bargain finds. We can live vicariously through you...

Now the difference is Location ,Location.
In your area there is no need for all the seasonal give aways.
In ours the summer and fall stuff have to go, and house plants, because they will have to pay to store them in a warmer area.
Thus the difference......

At Lowe's Another thing you can do is watch at the return desk. Plants get returned for the weirdest reasons. Orchids that drop flowers but are otherwise healthy end up returned. Unforunately the garden staff puts all the returns in the dumpster usually. Sometimes weak plants will be discounted or plants out of season. Sometimes they will give them to you.

It's sad people buy plants but then short circuit and don't know what to do.
The plant suffers for it.

yep that's true PlantsRoc,, and another thing is.. the Lowes I go to lets you gets the seed pods from plants ,, which is great because I plant the seeds in the spring and it didn't cost a thing,,
other wise Lowes throws them out,, and what a waste!!

What a score! I've gotta do this next fall....
