well I will cheat and show u my dog Tank trying to get my buddy the squirre
Very nice winter pictures - so glad the birds are enjoying your food.
Here is what it looks like here today. We had about 6 inches of snow overnight into late this morning, and now have rain and sleet. It's very messy out there on the roads, but very peaceful if one doesn't have to go out!
POND??? WHAT pond??? Don't ya want to have a seat in the adirondack chair right about now?
Looking out the back window down and to the right.
Red coral bark Japanese Maple with ice frozen on all its branches.
Dodge, you asked if they are huskies...no, they are Alaskan Malamutes. It is a common mistake that people make. Malamutes are much larger than a husky. Huskies tend to only get to around 60-70 pounds...Malamutes can get up to 130 and 140 pounds. Our gray one is only about 75 or 80 pounds right now. The black one is 90-95 pounds. I will be training the big one for pulling competitions soon and she'll pick up on weight quickly when I do that. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets up to 120 (which is what her mother weighed). I often forget about how large they really are...until I see pictures of them or see them with Stephen from a distance.
Hi, hisgal is my dog Tank like your's a malamute are a husky,I say a malamute and harley say's he is a Husky he is about 7 mos old,and he love the snow, Here is a few pics of him
and here is one of him
and here he has his dumb butt on our lake chasing a leaf on it
Jenn, those are BIG dogs. BIG. I know you are a big dog person though....
Bettyboop---I guess you have to be super careful as the lake thaws out....that Tank doesn't fall thru.....and who is the other little doggy in the background?
Lynne, isn't it sad seeing the pond disappear like that. It's hard to believe that come spring/summer it will be full of life again. And I like that tree. Pretty cool.
Bettyboop...From the picture, it looks like Tank has blue eyes. If he does, that would disqualify his as a malamute. They do not have blue eyes....that is a husky trait. Now, it is possible that he is a mix between the two. ...from the close up pictures, his body looked more like a malamute, but in the picture of him on the lake, his chest doesn't seem deep enough for him to be a malamute, so my vote his husky. :) Oh...the hair on his tail is also shorter than a malamute's is normally. He is a very pretty dog! How much does he weigh?
Yes I worry about him but I think he knows when not to get on it, I hope but then Harley hear's me say that dumb dog is on the lake and if it break's I hope he can get out and she say''s I will go and save him,I told her well that's nice to know. It's the goofy g-kid's I worry more over they don't listen to us when we tell them not to get on it,They were all on it today with the dog,So now i told them they can't go out and play.I will teach them . That is no place to to play at.So now maybe they will listen
Well I think he weight's about 30 something pound's, but he is still young and his eyes are black with blue around them and then one eye has a brown spot on it that makes him look cross eyed and some time's I call him Cross eye joe, Here is a pic of his eye's I had g-son get on scale and he weighted 156 and holding tank it went to 195
So he's 40 pounds at 7 mos. I'm trying to think of what ours weighed at that age. We got them at 8 weeks...they weighed 26 pounds then....so I'm thinking they were heavier than 40 pounds at 7 months.
Yeah, with the blue eyes he's either bred with husky or he is all husky....but he can't be 100% malamute with the blue eyes. Our gray malamute has the neatest eyes...they look like caramel....but they are all marbled like. ...hard to explain. Both huskies and malamutes are wonderful dogs. They have the natural tendency to pull.....and ours have the tendency to hunt also. So far they have gotten a hold of 3 chickens and they have also caught a wild rabbit!
Yeah he was after my squirre the other day, out in the bk yard where I feed the bird's and squirre. He is a crazy lil puppy for sure and he chew's up everything he can
We have about a foot of snow right now. We got about 6" of snow then around 1" of ice then several more inches of snow. We're supposed to get another inch or 2 by lunch tomorrow. Brennan hasn't had school all week.

Oh my Rachel, I am so sorry---we have aboput 6-8 inches. the ice came first, some places worse than others---but until it freezes tonight the state wprkers 7 such have most of the roads fairly well clean---(now my roads are another matter--but the main ones are ok)---

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
We have 45-60 mph winds and trucks are on their sides on the roads. The smart ones are parked on the on ramps and off ramps waiting for the winds to die down before proceeding. Even bald people have bad hair days in these winds. Going up into near 80 today though.

ssshhhhh...... I don't want Thorn to see that I nailed a bird house to a tree! I didn't know that was a bad thing until after I'd already done it. but thanks for noticing! the blue birds have already been poking around it this past week.
