Any souls braving it today?

If you saw in the Superbowl(and on their website), they are giving away free Grand Slams to every single customer today between I believe 6am and 2pm.

We're going at 11am. lol Hey it's free!

It also states that each store has 500 rain checks, so if it's too busy then you can just ask for a raincheck for each person that is with you.

Not bad. thumbup

I don't know how they can afford it. And I'm sure the cooks will be cursing this.

I know someone that works for Dennys and she said that they were dreading it! At her location everyone is working today, noone was allowed the day off.

I thought about going and might still, but I really don't like crowds and I think they are going to be packed.

I did see that commercial and couldn't believe they meant it. I hope they make a lot in tips.

We don't have a Denny's but I've been to one in Asheville.

Stephen works over those hours and I won't go with the kids by myself....so we have to miss it.

Ours was so ridiculously packed---I'm talking lines out the door and the parking totally full, even around the back and sides of the stores there.

They said we had to sign in, so I pushed thru to go in and sign in and when I saw what the inside looked like I backed out ASAP.

Estimated wait time was at least 2 hours. NO WAY was I waiting for that. I figured our small rural Denny's wouldn't be so bad. I think everyone and their brother was there.

We went up the road and got the Pizza Hut buffet instead. lol

2 hours is a long time to wait for free food unless you're starving.

I drove by the nearest Denny's on my way home today. Mistake just for traffic reasons. But I got a good look at the lines and the parking while I was trying to drive by. This Denny's is out in the boondocks and used by truckers a lot. But few trucks and cars up the ying-yang today. People lined up around the building and more people cruising around looking for parking. A fun and unusual sight in that area.
