Is this a Red Finch? #261095 Feb 4th, 2009 at 05:34 PM Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 30,001 Arlington,Texas angelblossom A Gnome's Best Friend angelblossom A Gnome's Best Friend Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 30,001 Arlington,Texas Again out of the kitchen window when I got home from work,, Geeeez imagine what I'd see if I could stay home I think it's a Red Finch( male),,, Caught me by surprise didn't have the camera set right,, these are the best I got out of about 11 pictures "Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."

I have not seen any of those in my yard. you are sure bringing in the birds with all those feeders you have. makes me want to put more out! I looked it up I do believe it IS a Red Finch,, "Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."

For every Goldfinch I see, I probably see 20 House Finches. Female House Finches have NO red. They are brown and white striped. Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. One thing I know about my camera , when you zoom a photo in , the photo does have grainy more than a natural setting. But I am still having fun trying.. i dont understand the shutter speed settings........ But the cardinal were done better than mine. Good luck keep trying .. PS...
