Last June, when I was having computer problems and couldn't post, I drove my mom down to Roan Gardens to see the rhododendrons in bloom. The Gardens are on the summit of Roan Mountain, elevation 6285 feet, straddling the North Carolina-Tennessee state line.
I took a lot of great pictures that day, and I've looked through them dozens of times, but I never really noticed this one till today.
It was one of the first pictures I took and I remember when I shot it I was disappointed that the butterfly had moved before I snapped the picture, but now I'm thinking WOW!
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
I was raised on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina, about 20 miles east of there. We were COVERED with Mountain Laurel and Rhododendron every spring.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes..
EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
Thanks for the whopping good FIX pf spring! It did my heart well to see these photos today!
