It will be just a couple of short weeks and Hummingbirds will start showing up again here in North Texas Generally they start showing in up in March,, as mild as it's been,, maybe I should have left one out all winter,, I put one feeder out last Sunday the rest will go out this weekend, Ohhhhhhhh I can't wait!!!!!

Look for them in your area the last few days THIS month. The last few years, the FIRST Ruby-Throat reported has shown up at Baton Rouge, La. around the 27th or 28th of February, followed by NUMEROUS reports a couple of days later in Florida And Texas. Here in Tennessee, we get OUR first Hummers, starting the beginning of April, usually around the middle or end of April in MY area.

very cool. thanks thorn. I put my h.feeder out last weekend. I couldn't remember when they were expected to come, but I know I was 3-4 weeks late putting it up last year. I'm ready when they are....

doing my bit--- I will have my Hummingbird/oriole/downy woodpecker feeders up May 1. (I have a male downy that loves to eat at the opening I have there on my hummer feeder for my orioles--I guess he could be there for the bugs that are attracted.)

my feeder looked a little emptier today, but I was gone all day. I can't say if anyone was drinking out of it. It could have just been my over active imagination??
