The first picture is a male House Finch see the dark grayish cap on top of its head? That means House Finch. If it was a Purple Finch, The ENTIRE head would be the same color as the red parts.
The other picture appears to be a female House Sparrow, but it is hard to tell from this angle.

Thank you. I can't tell a house finch from a purple finch. They both look red to me.

If it has a dark cap on top it is a House Finch if the head is completely red on top it is a Purple Finch.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
