My Mockingbird is the only aggressive bird in my yard, but then only towards Starlings.

Your little bird is a Dark-Eyed Junco. They will be going back to Canada soon to raise their young but will be back next Winter.

You've got them in Kentucky, Cindy. Heck they're in MY yard here in Tennessee right now. Just spread some birdseed on the ground or a platform feeder and they'll be there in a jiff.

The bluejays in my yard won't let the others eat either. I think they used to stay at the barn but lately I've had 2 or more at the feeders and they even fight with each other over the food.

Angelblossom, that bluejay is a gorgeous bird. Pity he got out on the wrong side of the nest!
My magpies have been giving a few problems the last few days, attacking the rabbits in the yard. I've had to give them some stern warnings. May have to threaten them that Thorn will come over!

I'd LOVE to come over there! It's been my dream since I was a teenager.

When you do come Thorn, let me know and I would love to show you around. And if you come during winter, we'll be able to show you some good ol' Aussie rules football!
