That Oprah show about the Cal tent people was on again in the middle of the night last night but I couldn't stay awake for it. Cal unemployment is the highest in the country right now at over 10%.

I am fixing home made mac 'n cheese to go in the oven. Dinner is so late tonight because we've been doing everything late today & then I fell asleep on the couch a little while ago... Tonight I will be VERY careful pulling dinner out of the oven!

Maxi is staying with me again tonight because of the storm.

I keep posting and leaving because Maxi is in the middle of reading a short story series about Sonic The Hedgehog on-line. So I let him read for a while then ask if I can minimize his page & check back in with y'all....

Maxi has been asleep for the past hour. My movie is nearing an end. It is time for me to make a last cup of Red rose Tea and shut down the house for the night.

Safe away home O my palies and sweet dreams to you all.

Hi ,
We had a good dinner.. Joe cooked a steak..and we fried up some taters- had a bunch starting to grow so needed to cook them ... grocery shopping is on the agenda tomorrow - gotta pick up a prescription for Mom too... and the boys will be here... busy Monday..
Our boys love Sonic the Hedgehog too... will have to find the stories for Timba to read.... he is getting to be a good little reader... he is still working on The Wizard of OZ... along with the books he has to read for school...
Just found out the school is planning to combine 1st and 2nd grades next yr they need to save money ... losing 4 teachers... turns out Derek is not keeping up even with the extra help we are giving him and they now want to test him for learning disabilites... now that school is almost over this yr... we found out they have known this since last Oct... never mentioned it till last week... not supposed to be the way they do things according to the county... supposed to arrange testing within a month if disability is suspected, we are not happy with this teacher at all.
Well off to finish this movie and go to bed.... going to have boys early tomorrow....

That is so not cool of the teacher for not getting a head start on testing Derek, Nana. I hope it all works out for him. I am waiting to see where the budget ax falls on our schools. They are to take some hefty cuts. I would prefer to see administration shaved from the top down. But how many will stand and say my job can be done by my neighbor as well as his/hers? They will start with the lowest and most needed.
I am going to see if I can get my son to bed for his school day tomorrow. I can only try.

I am up and fighting with my online access to the credit union- had to install a flash player to keep my access- did that and it locked me out of the log in- called and they had me do a couple things... did that and still didn't work- so they will call me- so I decided to try again- now it works... oh well! what was wierd is my laptop worked fine- desktop didn't want to do it... guess it all compatible now- had to delete cookies though - so will have fun relogging in to every where I go...Pain!
It's a bright sunny day here so far supposed to get to 70* - but be breezy... really don't understand rest of country is snowing and raining and we who are supposed to be in our snowiest time get sun and high temps....
Well got to go get ready for Nicoli's arrival... need to at least be dressed !

Congrats on you snow day, Sheri.
Nana. I dislike having to download something new everytime I need to do something on line.
I got a lot done this morning. I got my kids to school, did some banking and filled my van up. Played with and fed my grandpuppy, and did some shopping at Walgreens for Ted's ensure. Then off to the hospital to see what the hang up was on a prescription. Got that sorted out and John's expensive stuff (over $4,000 for a one month supply) will be in soon. Stopped to shop at Walmart for John's ensure on the way home. Unloaded all of that and put it all away. Then sat and ate a little breakfast/lunch.

Hi Tina,
Still here not doing much today- have Timba - he woke up with a sinus headache- doesn't feel very good- he is playing a game on the laptop- Derek went to school and played outside with Papa for a while- Nicoli just went to sleep..he is extra tired today as he didn't go to sleep till midnight... kids are night owls.
Well got my puter to work on my credit union site- had to reboot 4 times, then it finally saw the download and accepted it-- I don't see any difference in the site but guess it made it more secure or something... at least from me till it worked.
I called in Mom's scrip and it won't be in till tomorrow- so guess we will shop then too- sis is supposed to be taking her tomorow for a visit- mostly cause it Sis's birthday and she expects money... hopefully we can get some running around done while she is with her-- need to go to Walgreens then too- need more cranberry capsules for her - seems to be working for the UTIs
she won't drink juice- only soda- at least its liquid and she's drinking 2 cans a day... more than she would of anything else- like having a stubborn 2 yr old.
Well off again to run some laundry through....

Hi everybody!

I nearly had a heart attack first thing this morning when I called the automated line for my bank & it said I was overdrawn by $70. I KNEW that couldn't possibly be true!

So my girl and I dug out my reciepts from the weekend to double check them & our memory was right.

So, I had to wait until the bank opened. Then I got so MAD! madd For more than a year I've had a payment plan for a local business set up to be put through on the 3rd of the month. This month, for some reason, they put it through on the 1st!!!!

tapfoot Boy oh boy, did I call them! They weren't answering the phone so I could only leave a message but I have cancelled the automatic payment plan. I can't afford my bank fees for overdrafts which is why I am so meticulous. So now they have an irate customer breathing down their necks about putting through my payment early.

They should not charge you for their mistake... sounds like my daughters bank- they put a hold on a cash deposit-- she put in 400 and they held back 300 for 3 days... CASH... now there is not a good reason for that....
I hope they don't charge you... or if they do report them to whatever regulatory office your state has.

I just put a couple pans of pork chops in ...need to make a side or two and dinner will be done and one for later too...I am so tired today for some reason- may just go to be early- this weather changing from cold to warm and back again is doing a number on me.

Off to make the rest of dinner......

Good morning everybody!

We have a sunny day underway which is very nice after the storms.

Maxi will be going home to his dad's after breakfast & a quick trip to Target.

This afternoon my girlfriend Laurie will be visiting. She & I grew up together in PA until her family moved to Maine in High School. I started visiting her up here & ultimately fell in love with this area & moved here myself w/ Maxi's dad. She lives a few hours away & we don't see each other very often. I think it has been 4 years since the last time.

So I'm putting a big pot of chowder on and we'll get to catch up.

Well Merme, that sounds like a great day. Take some pictures of her with your new camera.

We started 2 hours late today because of road conditions.

I missed the info about Patunia's husband. I sent her a PM.

these people!! I didn't have to be at school today until 9:00 but I had a parent meeting planned with the EC department at 8:30. The parents don't have a phone so I showed up at 8:30 so not to inconvenience them. They still haven't shown up. This is the 2nd time I've been stood up by parents and this is my GOOD school. The roads in Monroe aren't bad at all so it can't be from the ice. It's like working at the Health Department. They just decide not to come or to come after lunch and the school accomodates them. Burns me up.

I'd be annoyed also, Sheri.

Maxi has left & I won't see him again until Friday. I really hate this -- having him go back & forth. Life just feels better when he is here full time.

We got the mailing concerning his camp adventure for this year already. It is time to get his reservation in ... hard to believe! I hope he can go this year for all of July. I've decided to use most of the money I earn from the clinical trial I've enrolled in for his camp tuition -- it will help with one week, anyway.

keep us posted on that merme. sounds interesting.
gosh. I had to go back three pages to find the C.H.
most days, like today, I'm too tired to read all the current post so I just search for the CH and maybe read one thread that strikes my interest.
I am curious about the h.b. thread.... I had the feeder filled up until about a week ago. we've been out of sugar and keep forgetting to buy any.
