Your second picture is a male White-Breasted Nuthatch. the first is, I believe, a female House Sparrow.

Also had the red male finch the other day. They are slowly coming back.
Outdoor birds are nicer than inside birds I think.. Clean up their own mess..

Mr. Nuthatch looks mean.

All the Nuthatch look that way........All birds seem to be aggressive with each other on the food trays.......Now that I watch, thats all the do in the trees too, chase and be chased.

Hummingbirds are OFFICIALLY considered to be the meanest, most aggressive birds in the world. They will even attack and try to kill their own children once they consider the kids topo be competitors. No Empty-Nest Syndrome here! Hummingbirds LIVE for the time the nest will Finally be empty (sound familiar?).

Nuthatches have an odd, in-your-face, kind of attitude, but actually are quite sweet and comical. They have a classic pose they do all the time that is UNIQUE to Nutchatches. They go head-first down a tree and then bend their head and neck at a ninety degree angle AWAY from the rest of their body and the tree trunk. It is so cute and adorable.

Red cardinal, male finch, nuthatch, juno,,,,,,all over for some reason in the rain...
Is that odd?
