Here is my Broken desert rose from last year. She has grown Nicely and is beginning her blooming stage.
When this blooming stage is done I will Prune her back a bit so she will be shorter and fuller.

wow, she recuperated very, very well!!! good job, diane!!!
you can cut the branches back - a lot - and that won't hurt anything. actually will keep it 'bushier'.

I was Hoping you'd pop in here Joclyn to see how it was doing,, I watch a video on Utube about pruning them back,, But that guy cut his branches it way down,, AND he said the cutting could be started for New plants. I will try it when I cut it back,, and will let you know if the cuttings take root, * I'll have to go back and see what he said again, it wasn't by grafting them though,*

Hello... \First, I assume the plant is healthy, and merely broke off ?? If so, try the following: 1) first keep what is in the pot and care for it as if nothing is wrong--it could well keep growing.....and IMO I think you should try to root the part that broke off. do this: 2) Take the piece that broke off and do the following: Dry the cutting for 48 hours in a warm, dry place. Fill a pot with half peat moss and half sand. Dip the stem in rooting solution and poke it 2 inches (5.1 cm) into the soil. .... If you do not have 2 inches in the stem, just poke in around half, or so.... Mist the stem with a spray bottle every 2 days. Put the pot in a location with 6 hours of indirect sunlight per day. Good luck! and let us know how things go.
