Hello and good evening to everyone. I am a first time poster, and honestly first time plant owner. Recently a family member moved away and I inherated 3 house plants. The first is a shamrock "shammy", the second...i don't know but it is pretty. It has white leaf shaped blooms with a yellow fuzzyish stem in the center, and an aloe "matilda". The problem is shammy and matilda are not doing well. I am praying that shammy is dormant, and I am not sure how to revive matilda, in the last month (through the move of her former home to our home) she has become limp, and her once perky branches? are drooping and turning dark. Does anyone have any advice on how I can bring her back? i am also grateful on any advice with the shamrock and the other one. Thanks in advance.

i'd say that shamrock might be dormant, but, check the soil by sticking your finger in the pot. if it is wet, you might have root rot going on. same for the aloe.

the biggest mistake most plant lovers make is overwatering. all plants will tolerate a little dry (except orchids) but will fail with over watering. so don't be afraid to touch the soil or stick your finger in it to check for dampness. if the soil is damp, wait a day or two then check again before watering.

Shamrocks quit for a while and come back.. Dont water it , let it be for a while an see.
They usually act dead when moved.
But bounce back later.
