They are thinking of putting this in our area thru the electric company.

Well, first off; anything is better than dialup lol...
256kbps isn't that fast in all honesty, but it will clear up your phone line for, you know, phone calls lol...
Myself, I'd be kind of leary bout broadband over power; but it is an emerging tech so I can't really state weather or not it'd be good or not

I know it is new.. Maryland and Mass. already have it .
Yes .dial up is getting to us for sure.. But the others need new fiberoptic lines which we dont have in the area.

DIalup was out 4 times this week.......
I am signing up for it.. Hopefully they get many followers to make it worth while.

Only thing available in our area thus far.. I assume this will take a while to get done too..
We are hoping.
I think it was down 4 times the past week......I have become a pro fixing it .
