Yep! Them are Eagles. I have NEVER seen a live Eagle: Not in a zoo, not in a rehab facility, not in a natural environment......NEVER! (and I am The Bird Man!)

EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
I thought eagles lived every where. We have bald eagles and osprey here. They nest on power lines and make a mess. They have now learned to attach large plastic Owl replicas on poles to keep them at bay.
~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
Very cool pictures, I've never saw a real Eagle either---well not in the wild. I've saw one in a bird zoo(I know there's a word for it, but I can't think of it).
thorney, if ya want to see eagles, your gonna have to head to fishing waters. ive seen them on streams and ive seen them on lakes. they just love to feed on fish . the first one i saw in the wild was on the current river in missouri. this river is stocked with trout and has a natural population of redhorse suckers. apparently they are easy prey for the big birds. and a always see em on bull shoals lake, which im fortunate enough to get to about twice a year. ive never seen em away from some kind of water though. i wonder if they hang around that big lake just outside of nashville on 40? might be a good place to look for em. and ill bet, although it is a ways from you the caney fork river probably harbors a few. ive seen that river a few times on my way to bristol. weird how it winds around and crosses the highway 5 or 6 times. ive never had a camera at the ready when i have seen eagles though. gonna have to change that!
Ty every one we have and see them here but then I am way bk in woods, all gods animals around me But the eagel are so pretty at nite have bats too they fly over our lake but don't know why
Not TOO many eagles down here, but few. Usually pretty rare to see. I have bats at my house. They stay around my security light pole at night catching bugs.
sbreland, bats are the BEST insect and mosquito eliminators known in nature. The best best birds eat 1,000 to 10,000 insects per bird per day. Bats eat 100,000 to 1,000,000 insects per bat per day!!! A bat house measuring 18" X 10" X 5", will house up to 100 bats per house! Bat house should be place about 20 feet abobe the ground on the EAST side of a house, building, or pole. The bats will find the house themselves. Nothing else is needed to attract the bats except to erect the bat house. IT REALLY WORKS!!!
