This fellow was across the street from my house today, chasing Killdeer. At one point he dived right at me so CLOSE, That I heard the, "WHOOSH" of the wind through his wings. Northern Harriers have a unique marking that NO other hawk in North America has, a WHITE rump. It is a large brilliantly white patch of feathers on top of his body where the tail meets the body.

These picture are not very good because he was moving so FAST, maybe 70-100 miles per hour (116-160 kph).
