oh Diane that's so pretty. I was looking for a crescent moon when I was online.

Know what I'm thinking. That if I can find stars like that I can do stars and stripes and make a flag.

I like that Diane! It looks just like a moon with the field of stars behind and all around.

They don't have one of these in Oregon; I'd love one of those lights! lol... How much did it go for? Did it have any model or anything indicated on it?

Ya know... I did an extensive online search for that light, but did not find it anywhere. The company goes under many names, and I've seen other lights made by them in stores around here - ducks, butterflies, fish, rectangular lanterns, but no mushrooms. I guess it's hit or miss... It was $14.99, as are most of the other lights I saw around by the same company.

Well, Boscovs has a bunch of them, and they're an online retailer; and the mushroom is semi-close to what you have lol...

It ends up like $30 after shipping i think

Those look to be from the same company, James!

Our Boscov's here closed and left town over 2 years ago...

I do think that's a lot of money with the shipping though - it doesn't glow quite as much as I was hoping it would.

Yeh, I think the price is rather high as well for solar lights now adays; but 'eh it's online from a store i know that has them lol... I've not seen any stores here with solar anything (other than the $1 solar path lights at walmart)

Is there a Boscovs near you?

No, Boscovs is an east-coast only retailer... It'd be nice if more "one coast only" stores would have an online presence so others could buy their stuff lol...

A lot of stores that are regional have a separate name for their other regions (Walmart/Sams Club, etc) but i don't see that with Boscovs

That's a nice one; I think I saw one like it at Wally World the other night...

Then again, it may have been that one site I linked to earlier in the thread lol...

Johnny broke one of my solar lights. I bought 3 little ones a while back, a hummingbird, butterfly and bird and one of them never worked BUT the other 2 did. So tonight Johnny said he was going to fix the broken one and ended up breaking a working one instead. Like a bull in a china shop.

Garden Ridge is a long way for me. I got the one he broke at Harbor Freight. It's not a ball. Some of you guys had told me about Harbor Freight and I got them on the posts. They're little.

Diane, I think I've asked you this before but do I change the batteries in the solar balls? They've stopped working and I miss them a bunch.

both of them have stopped working and I haven't touched them. We love having them and it may be that if I can find some on sale it will be cheaper than changing the battery. I'll go to a few places and look around. Johnny really loves them.

no problem Diane. We lovvvvvvve them. Maybe I need to put them in full sun. They're kind of in shady areas but they did work for a while. I'll check it out when it stops raining.

I have mine in full sun and sat on things that will not retain water or create condensation in the ball,, ,, I know they are for pools But it seems once condensation gets in them they don't work as well.

Have you tried cleaning the solar panels with warm soapy water and a quick rinse of warm water? (be sure you use warm water (and rinse before putting any soap on it) and don't soak the entire unit as you can leave a film on the panel or damage the device)... It could be that the panel is just dirty and not charging due to that (or the battery needs replaced; i believe any rechargeable battery of the same size can be used; not sure what's in your device however)
