Here is how I get started..

I use a similiar method.....I start mine in shallow trays and whatever plastic leftovers I have i figure i am doing something of my part in reusing all the things over and over again .......Your toms look fantastic how long have they been started ....mine are a little slow this year but we are having alot of late cloudy days ....

egg cartons are my favorite for starting seeds in!

Thanks I think I started them at the end of february.. I plan to start more soon.
I usually do about 40.

I put stuff in egg cartons after I germinate them either in the hot bed, or on wet towels..Then I transplant.

I also put stuff into yogurt cups ......My room looks like yuk, for a month or so..LOL

I wish i could figure out how to post pics here because I can feel ya on the yuk factor I have like 400 tomato plants,100 pepper plants, 5 different herbs and flowers for my wife ...all started in my sunroom and its TAKING OVER ...lol I cant wait until I can go dig in some real dirt ...lol but its a blessing to have the greenest thumb in my county lol I have given away like 100 tomato's already.....alot of new gardeners this year ......Victory gardens everywhere ...I am almost glad that the economy has driven folks to some common sense maybe the local food movement will really take off here .......
