Good Morning!! I just wanted to open a new Webkinz--& also ask a question.

Today as I was doing my dalies, I found that every time I tried to go to the curio shop I was told I would be "logged out now". I was curious if anyone else had this problem???

Me too!! And Friday and Saturday every time I tried to go there it kept telling me "Sorry, you have already mined for the day". And I hadn't mined at all! I think that Arte has been breathing in to much mining dust or either he's hitting the bottle a little to hard.

My next house will have no kitchen - just vending machines and a large trash can.

I had the same problem on all accounts, Carol. As did almost everyone else. Another Ganz problem. I can wait it out though

You did a great job, Carol. Both the job and the screen shot. (I had such a hard time learning how to do that).
Hmmm, You need a magic carpet in that room. I think.

First I have to ask----what is a "Magic carpet"???

Thanks for the compliment, Tina- kissie--I went back & tried to cut out just the piece of the screen I wanted BUT my paint only shows part of the webkinz screen at a time so it is impossible to cut (for me right now anyway) if I ever learn how I will show you the other parts of my house---and if not perhaps I will show you Maisy's room and the back yard anyway. why

Check your mail, Carol. A magic carpet is another ride on. Not quite the right blue for the wizard theme, but I keep one in my magic room anyway.
I see you did check your mail. You are welcome, Carol.

So, have you all seen the new Webkinz Deluxe membership yet? I think they are getting a little too out of hand with the "extras" to buy. We've spent around $1000 on Webkinz plush and misc items over the past few years on over 80 pets, numerous charms, trading cards, binders and figurines. It's a "pay" site as it is since you have to buy a pet to access it. Having to pay for access to different areas of a site that I already had to pay to get on is getting a bit frustrating. I realize that Webkinz is a business and the idea is to make money. But at the same time I'm getting the feeling from Ganz that our patronage isn't valued unless we continue to throw obscene amounts of money at them. It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a "deluxe activities" tab that Brennan has to look at but can't do everytime he plays. I would have been much less upset about it if it were a different site like the e store that wasn't thrown in our face everytime we log on. And I wonder if the regular Webkinz users service will suffer now. With so many glitches I'm sure their first priority will be maintaining their deluxe accounts. Ganz is going to start alienating their new customers when they buy a pet, access the site and then find out how much stuff they would need to buy or pay extra for to access. Not to mention their loyal customers who are starting to get fed up.

You all know I'm not normally a Webkinz basher, but I feel they're getting a little too greedy.

I hadn't a clue when I read this this morning. Had to go hunting for more info. They are not 'giving' enough for their deluxe membership. To make it appealing to me at all.

OK. I realize now that I went off on a bit of a tangent. So sorry. I still love our Webbies, don't get me wrong. I'm just a bit frustrated in the direction the site seems to be going now. It's going away from the simple fun that made us all love it so much. I guess I'm being a bit short minded. I'm sure there are those that absolutely love the new features and don't mind to pay for it. I know I'm never going to hear the end of, "Mommy, I want the deluxe activities." I would be more inclined to do it if it was good for the life of your Webkinz account instead of a year.

the way i understand it, the deluxe activities button is not visible unless you subscribe. i hope this is the case, [[[[the majical forest activities lockout icons were problematic for the grandkids, but not nearly as pricey a fix as the new deluxe problem.]]]] tapfoot

Well, i wanted to reply to this thread yesterday and to tell honeybun Thanks a Lot!!! But while I was writing the weather took a turn for the worse and I had to shut down and unplug everything.
I think that I messed up this past week end. I saw the picture that JunnieGirl
put up of her magic room and decided that I wanted to go that route. Well, I didn't realize what I was getting in to and in the end I am almost broke now and haven't finished. I still need 2 enchanted rugs, 2 Daedalus Dinning Chairs, an antique Ice Box but what I really want is a stone fireplace and I don't know how to get one. I guess that doesn't matter though because I will be all month trying to earn enough ( I am not to eppt at winning much on the games and my Quizzies are almost all used up.) just to get the things with in my abilities to buy.
Anyway, then last night I didn't get on here to thank the HunBun because I was watching the end of E.R.. I am not one who cries over movies and such but last night my eyes did water watching E.R.. I guess after watching it every week for 15 years you kind of build a special fondness of the show and characters and it was sort of like losing an old friend so I was a bit saddened. But I did like the way they brought back in some of the old characters and to see Dr. Greens daughter on there as a potential Med. Student. I liked that they ended it with a mass emergency and Dr. Carter jumping back in there but I was disappointed that they didn't leave with him and his wife getting things back on course with one another.
Oh well, E.R. doesn't really belong in this thread i was just getting off course as to why I didn't get to thank Honeybun last night.

The different fireplaces are pet specific items that come with the adoption of pets. I sent you one that comes with one of the horses, a clydesdale I think. I also sent the other items you requested and a coin to turn in to boost your account, Memosa. Have fun!

Well, once again they aren't letting us in to mine at Ates' or spin the Wheel of Wow. Keep getting the message " Sorry you have already ( spun or mined depending which you are trying to do) for today, try again tomorrow". So Webkin Squirrel and I decided to go and do some photo shots. This one is for You Angelblossom and all other Fairy and gnome lovers. This is Webby Squirrel dressed as a Fairy.

I also looked in the outdoor section for them first but didn't find them. So went on a more extensive hunt. All of the rugs and tiles also went into the decorations section.

Webkinz world is down this morning for a server upgrade test. I was trying to get on there to make Brennan some money. He was home from school yesterday and spent a ton of money. We were down to 134kc! I got us back up to 4000kc before bed last night. I bet after this server upgrade they'll add the tree top room furniture that they've been promising. I'll be in the arcade and quizzies all day making money to buy it all.

BTW, I haven't broken down and got the deluxe membership.......yet. I'm determined not to spend the money on that atleast until I get our season passes to King's Island.

Thanks Tina. We don't really need anymore kc unless they put out the new theme. If they do maybe you could send him a gift from that. I've been playing Bounce and Burst a lot lately and have made pretty good money doing that. I've won 12 trophies in there in the past couple of weeks. I get hooked on one of the games and play it anytime I need a break from the house. They seem to be great stress relievers for me.

He was super excited yesterday. He is still obsessed with the trading room. Mommy and I both have been buying up everything rare even if we have it so he can trade with it. Yesterday he got the hot air balloon that comes with the grey langur. He had wanted that so bad. He had to trade one of his Hummer SUVs for it, but he still has a couple more. He was thrilled.

The site is back up now. No new theme. Just the Zumwhere guide book. Oh well, atleast it gives me time to bulk up our kc.

There is a new game, Eager Beaver Adventure Park. I'm gonna go check it out now!

Wow, I have missed out the pass several days on here. Sorry. But I purchased a Boston Terrier for my cuz, hoping to get her hooked into WW and I broke down and got myself a Robin because I wanted to see the Tree Top room and I also got a lil'kinz black bear. So i have been busy busy trying to make money for my Bear and trying to figure out how to fix up a tree top room. I hope that they do come out SOON with tree top room stuff soon because I am not happy with the things that they have out now to use in a tree top room. But I will have to really save up some cash to purchase the new room theme if and when they come out with it. Unfortunately I spend a lot of kc cooking for the ones I have now. They eat a lot it seems.
I don't know how those of you with lots of Webbies do it. Having three now is about to run me ragged.

My next house will have no kitchen - just vending machines and a large trash can.

Memosa. Mostly only the one that you have activated should need feeding. And you can really only activate one at a time. I've had pets sleeping peacefully in their beds for months (hibernating). No need to feed then.

I thought that was the case Tina but Thursday night the pet (Elvis) that came up when I logged on was at 100% on everything but when I changed to Jiffy she was down in the 80's on all her stuff.

First my inactive pets seem to stay at the level they were at when I exchanged them for the current pet out???

Now ladies I have a question. I have the below items in my dock---

W care Ice cream sandwich
Ainowray canape
Allyssa Cookie
Sky Cookie
Star Cookie

are they all just food items or do I do something special with them????

Those are food items. The ice cream sandwich is a w-cares prize from adopting a cares pet and playing the game. The cookies mentioned are a prize from the star search instead of a star for your collection. And that rainbow thing is recipe food that was also a prize from a spin or something. All to eat. Not too special for saving.

I have never bought any of the webbie cloths because they don't usually fit my Webbie but yesterday i purchased the Lavender Party Dress at Books a Million and it is so cut one her. Of course I would try it on my real squirrel but my girl won't have any part of it and well I don't think that my boy even though he is now a eunuch would appreciate being caught dead in a dress. But I am going to try it on my tea cup chihuahua.
Also got a Robin Redbreast and a Purple Goldfish just to get the treetop and underwater rooms. They are fun and so funny to watch. I mean how funny is it to brush the non-exsistent teeth of a fish or bird. Or brush their coats and give them a bath. And when the little bird gets in the pool and swims I laugh my rear off. Anyway here is a photo of My Webbie in her Lavender Party Dress ( just got to find a party to got to now ) and a picture of my OLD LADY ( my 15 year of shih tuz, yes, she is a shih tuz she just likes to have all her hair cut off in the summer )trying to find a place to sleep in my book case.

No, she is not a puppy any more. She is 14 years old but she isn't much bigger than a puppy. She is my sweet Old Lady and she can't hear unless you scream really loud nor can she see anymore. I guess that is why she couldn't see where she was trying to lay down at.

Welcome, Magic.
Today there is a new theme in the w-shop. A couple of pretty cool items but not the treetop things that were promised.

Are any of you planning on attending a Webkinz Day Extravaganza event any where? There is a place here called the Purple Julia and they are hosting a 3 day event. I plan on going Saturday. They are having a gem search and 2 fashions shows, food and loads of other events. I will be entering Henna in one of the fashion shows. I just have to decide which outfit I want her to wear. It is mostly between the fairy out fit our her Audry Hepburn little black dress and pill box hat out fit. If I don't forget to take may camera ( which I am very good at ) I hope to get some photos to post.

Did you click on WEBKINZ DAY EXTRAVAGANZA and go to store locator and check on if any store in your area is hosting an event? That is how I found out about the Purple Julia. Didn't even know that the store existed until then.

Just thought that I would share a few photos of the Extravaganza that I went to today. It was fun and the shop that hosted it was a very lovely store. They had a guess the jelly beans, wheel of wow, make a crown of wonder, and the fashion show.

Yes, I got a first place ribbon, 2 pieces of clothing ( a blue blouse and a pair of shorts ), a tube of lip balm and a pack of playing cards. I purchased a few things as gifts and I got a Froggy ( a solid green one ) for a dollar. I haven't decided yet if I will keep Froggy or give it as a gift.

Thanks, I didn't want to sound to braggy or egotistical but I also won 3ed place also. The little Robin dressed in its Cinco de Mayo out fit ( poncho, sombrero, and sun burst Pinata )is mine also. They allowed me to enter 2.

My next house will have no kitchen - just vending machines and a large trash can.

Very cool. It is so nice to have an outlet and something that allows you to be creative. Congrats, Memosa.

What kind of gifts are you most interested in? What are your dream items that you are missing?

guess what jonni? someone changed the password. I changed it back but then they changed it again!!! I no longer have access to aseya. Stop sending things there. The person that hacked my account deleted all 26 friends I had, even you.

BUT DON'T WORRY... my granddaughter, who has the account lollipopgal8 no longer wants hers.

My new account is lollipopgal8. Can you resend all friend requests to lollipopgal8... and gifts you may have sent? I hate the person deeply who knows my username and secret code. I never gave out anything but my username... *sob* but, just resend everything to lollipopgal8. and tell the people on the name thread that aseya is not mine. And also, tell that thread that lollipopgal8 is my new account. I hope it's not too much trouble, the gifts, and requests and everything...

may lollipopgal8 be forever safe.

and if you could I just want some food gifts. If you decide to send me gifts from all accounts (u dont have to) then just send me whatever food you want as long as it is not a pet specific. remember send it to lollipopgal8 and send a request first.

Are you going to call ganz about your hacked account? 1-866-932-5469 ext 6848. they can trace and find the person who hacked you and delete there account and isp so they can't do it again.

tried it and didn't work. But lollipopgal8 is a much better account then the hacked one anyway (and not because its hacked XD XD) But anyway, I was getting tired of that account so I am sticking with lollipopgal8. Could you send friend requests and gifts to lollipopgal8? I would appreciate it.

And when you send gifts, not really looking for anything in particular... but furniture would be great. I am doing some things with the Candy theme and the rock theme so those would be appreciated! If you dont want to spend KC because you don't have those then just some basic foods would be fine too. I am always too busy decorating a room or something I don't have time for food (although I currently on lollipopgal8 have 100 something food items lol) but more food is always appreciated.
