Just last week the soil dryed up and temps. went up in the 60s, just the opening I needed to get my cold greens started like spinach, peas, collards, onion sets, potatoes and even some broccoli. Now I am keeping my eyes on the weather. How is your plot?

I'm pretty much at the same place you are. Today we had a day in the high 60s so my daughter and I were out in the garden getting things together. My daughter is an insistent three year old and wanted to put some seeds in the ground so to humor her we planted some lettuce, carrots, and leeks. I think the lettuce and carrots will take but I doubt the leeks will survive if the temps dip to low.

danielp, it's nice your daughter is starting early. Will she eat all those veggies?

I've got some radishes and lettuce coming up already. Hope it doesn't turn too cold.

Most definitely! She loves all her veggies so far.
