Hi..I am new to the forum. I am not much of a gardener I lived in New York all my life till 3 years ago that we bought a Town home in Piscataway and I decided to garden in our small space in the back and front of our home. I am hoping to learn so that I can become a better gardener. I have so far been learning by trial and error. I need to become more knowledgeable in this area for my 6 year old daughter and I seem to bond during our planting sessions. I would love to nurture that side of her.
Welcome. We all learn from trial and error. And then we share what we have learned here with our friends. Gardening is a wonderful thing to do with children. Please settle in and have some fun with us.

I am also in northern New Jersey, and was living in an urban area for a long time before finding myself with some dirt to play in again about a year ago. I have two little kids, and they LOVE to garden with me--from planting to pulling weeds, to cleaning up leaves. It's a fun activity to share with them.
