I'm hoping someone has good information for this situation.

My friend repotted her ivy into a pot 2 inches bigger than the previous one. She watered it thoroughly. The next day, another friend said she had over-watered it, and to let it dry out.

That was a week ago. Now the Ivy has turned yellow all in the center of the pot but is showing new growth elsewhere.

She keeps it in a Northern window.

Is this yellowing due to over-watering?

i think it might be overwatering. in my experience, when i repot, i kjeep the newly repotted plant on the dry side and water throughly when i see new growth. lots of air circulation also helps :)

I agree with Kennyso, I also think she should have waited to transplant in the spring. I would move it away from the cold window for awhile. Poor baby is in shock.

yes it is in shock it does sound like you over watered it.let it dry out then water it.
