I am just about ready to nap. I keep thinking I'm working my tail off but every time I look back it is still there, following me. My internet connection is slow still. So much for DSL. They are supposed to be out to repair it tomorrow. We will see. I am glad your plumbing and dishwasher are up and running again, Merme. Yep, I feel a nap coming on. I'm glad I have stuff ready for dinner later.

I have had a massive headache the past 2 days - probably not a good idea to drink now, huh?
maybe a drink or two will make you forget your headache.

Had a glass of the wine with dinner - potato latkes for Passover. It helped during dinner, but the headache is creeping back unfortunately. I really need a good sound night's sleep!

it sure looks like a storm is coming. I hear the thunder and am sitting on the porch waiting on it. there are advisories on the tv of a severe thunderstorm. I just love to sit on the porch under the tin roof when a good ole' storm comes through! I hope you get some good restful sleep tonight plants in pots! I'm hoping for a good night sleep as well. three hours last night was not nearly enough.

I also hope you get a good night's rest, Cricket. I hope the medicine kicks in and that you are pain free when you wake up tomorrow.
Be careful in that storm. I, too, like to listen to a storm so long as I know that everyone is safe and sound and where they should be.

I went to the allergist today and I'm allergice to 12 types of grass, oak trees, birch trees, cedar, red oak and I can't remember what others, cats, dogs, mold, ragweed - outside basically. I came home with a sinus lavage, an inhaler, 2 nasal sprays, Singular and some other pill. I'm going to start allergy shots, one in each arm twice a week. I'll never remember all this.

Hey Cindy - have you ever heard of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN? My daughter is going this year - mid June. It's supposed to be like Woodstock was! (that's a mom's point of view - not the kids!)

Woodstock was a little before I was old enough to go but I went to Love Valley. A much, much smaller version but it was great. Once you were there you couldn't get out because vehicles parked every which way and you were stuck. I can't imagine now that I'd have a good time doing that but it was fun then.

She is hoping to go as a volunteer - that way she won't have to pay the $260 for the ticket - but you do have to pay it on paypal now, and then IF you work the required hours they give the money back!!! Everyone has a racket going these days! Don lent her the money since she's in school and not working for the summer yet.

There was a first aid tent at Love Valley but the worker bees were wiped out. No joke.
Cindy, I'm glad you didn't come to Love Valley. the Hells Angels would have been mad when you ran over their bikes in your bad [BLEEP] truck.

I do typos pretty often. I do some careful proof reading. I still tend to miss the final 'r' on the end of your really often. It drives me berserk.

What are you talking about? It's early. I just got done cleaning up a massive amount of water that spewed out of the steam cleaner. Yuck! I'm going to have to go rent one tomorrow.

I searched on the net and apparently it's a problem with all of that model. There wasn't one good review of it. All the tanks leak. Oh well, I tried.

I definitely have to rent one tomorrow. I got this one turned on and ran it over about 4 feet of carpet and the water was black. So nasty. I can't bear the thought of my carpet being dirty now. Hum, I wonder if I could have wood floors installed in the entire house before Jeremy gets home?

My carpets are pretty nasty. It has been a while since we last had them done. But I really just want to replace them. It seems like everytime we have someone come in and do them a new stain comes up that wasn't there before. And they show up after the cleaners are gone. But that reminds me of a funny story

I'm not a freak. I'm just a little obsessive. It's a perfect time to clean the carpets since nobody else will be in the house. And I can clean all night and not have to worry about waking anyone up. I really do wish all this carpet was gone completely, though. Carpet is just really a nasty concept. I don't like any type of surface that I can't wipe down with bleach. Go ahead, make fun of me.

But seriously, I agree with you about carpeting! Gross stuff! They breed all manner of junk for allergy sufferers & asthmatics, too. Maxi improved a million percent when we moved to a place without much carpet. Merme
