Here we have the lady Belle Amie Wilson, known to her close associates as Belle, Just sitting down to High Tea. She was also served toasted seeds from the American Colonies, as well as an assortment of flavored waters, and to finish, a glass of pleasantly nutty Sherry and a platter of biscuits. LADY BELLE AMIE WILSON ![[Linked Image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a327/Thornius/LadyBelleAmieWilson.jpg) A splendid time was had by all. ![[Linked Image]](http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a327/Thornius/EGS04.jpg)

"Scones" are different from "Biscuits" I believe. And "Crumpets" are something different still. In the U.S. we call Biscuits, "Cookies", and Scones, I believe, are what we in the U.S. call "Biscuits". I've had Crumpets, they are similar to the U.S. "Silver-Dollar Pancakes".

My NEW Scottish son-in-law (as of about 10 hours ago), Paul, informs me that scones are indeed what we in the U.S. call "biscuits". He discovered Strawberry Short Cake for the first time in his life this week and is going CRAZY over it.

Congrats on your new son-in-law! Do you have a (polite) name for Haggis in TN?

Chitlins with Souse. Closest thing we got. My daughter ate haggis when she was over there. She said it was actually delicious, but she KNEW WHAT she was eating.
