Does anyone here do jean quilts? I go to yard sales and places like goodwill to get jeans. Some of them have 5.00 a bag day.

Where do you get your jeans?

I've never done one but it sounds interesting. Have you made any? If so, Please post pictures so we can see them.

I'm working on a quilt I made from all the fabrics that members here have sent me in gift swaps. We always like to see pictures here so as soon as I get it quilted and bound I'll be posting one.

I haven't done a jeans quilt, but made a jean table cloth out of 3X3 squares.

when I was making the jeans table cloth I told a few friends and family members about it. I suddenly got overwhelmed with more jeans than I knew what to do with!

Since I don't wear jeans and Maxi just started wearing some once in a while, I always got jeans from family & friends.

Once I did a project that required jean pockets! Ohmygoodness, I got flooded with a couple million pockets! People had so much fun cutting them off the back of old jeans. lol

By the way, the jeans pockets were to make a design of a train on an umbrella for a child. Then you put small toys in each pocket... because each pocket becomes a train car.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I have done a jean quilt for each member of my family. I have 3 more to do for the newer nephews of the family(step family). I got to counting and figured that I have done 22 so far.
I will have to go find the camera. I will post a pic when I get the next one done.

These are good since they are heavy and do not need the extra padding middle in them. I do the jean quilts on the sewing machine. I just do a light backing, like a sheet material.(think used sheets)
