Diane: Below are 2 photos of my violets--they were originally wild--when my girls were small I would transplant as many as possible from my yard to my beds along the house in the spring. When we moved, I took enough of the violets with me to put in this bed---so while they are wild they are not only a few are nice sized as of now--but I can send waht I have----if someone will tell me how----- As you can see it is pretty small yet----a few weeks would make all the difference/ ![[Linked Image]](http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff68/JunieGirl_2007/violets--4-20-09001.jpg) The second picture here is one from the yard---I show you this to show you how it will look, color-wise when it is in full bloom---is this what you are looking for???--although the top is possibly more true to color>>> ![[Linked Image]](http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff68/JunieGirl_2007/violets--4-20-09002.jpg)

Scilla siberica,or siberian squill, shown here with early daffodils, is as blue as flowers get. ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/nekonomad/nekonomad0174A.jpg) (click picture for a closer look, and once more for full screen size.) They're in the front yard and are taking over. Violets will show up in a couple of weeks. It's like, you know, a grassless yard, because the violets completely cover the ground. Not sure if they'll grow in Grand Prairie, though, but they do spread from seeds as well as multiply bulbs.

Another friend here in pa gave me a nice purple or blue, she said it is a Salvia ....And it it now blooming and I am waiting to see if I like it as well as my Red salvias........I also have a burgandy salvia. And a nymph salvia...... Now I see seeds in a catalog for Salvia has red /white mix bloom. I am hunting that one.. Just got an order from Jungs last week.. Sale...... 2 Bridals Wreath bushes 1 peppermint stick spearil 1 goats beard 1 new type of astibile 1 fancy daisy........for my red white blue bed I am finding it cheaper to order after June , than swapping ..LOL Our postoffice is ripping me off.. b

I didn't think of that dodge but it is probably cheaper to order than to swap. One price for a whole bunch of stuff instead of sending out a bunch of swaps.

VERY pretty indeed I don't have it dated. I haven't set my camera up for that. I have them dated in my albums. I have to admit Diane, in real life it isn't that exact shade of blue. I can never get blue to come out the right color in a picture.

yes But it's Blue! That's exciting. I see purple here,, yellow, rust, but rarely blue,, nurserys say they always go first,,,, Of course they are purchased by those that can go shopping during regular business hours,, I told my nursery they should hold a couple of skids of the blue ones until after 5

They have 2 days a year where they open to the public but at wholesale prices. Cool huh
