My Brug is blooming as it waits to go outside. I cannot wait for the weather to turn to summer temps so I can move my plants outside.

This is Axlerose tri-color leaves flower blooms yellow and darkens to peach.

I like the leaves on this one. I may be crying for cuttings in a year or so.

I am envious! Think I will have to get one. Please don't forget to post some photos when it is in full bloom!

I shared cuttings of this one with some one here I do not remember who it was. Was wondering if her cutting survived. I will be happy to share this Fall.

They do not bloom this early unless you keep them growing all winter in our climate. I kept two up and growing all winter because they are special to me. My daughter brought them for my birthday two years ago. The others I let them sleep all winter. haha

The other one I kept growing all winter was Snowbank.

Before I say this I should knock on wood. I have had house plants for 30+ years and have never had any bug problems. I have always misted my plants every week that may be why. I keep a squirter and as I walk around the house I am always misting my plants if I am not on the road they get mist every day three times a day.

Cinta, I know what you mean. I have never had a problem with bugs in my vege garden and I'm not sure why. I hardly ever mention it because I guess I'm supersitious and figure admitting it will bring on the bugs. I did have some type of bug on a plant in the house once. I threw it away.

Do you leave your brugs in pots when you sit them outside or do you plant then dig back up?

I grow all my tropicals in pots. I have a bad back and I would not be able to dig all my tropical plants up. Before I bring them in they get a good shower with the hose. I follow up with a squirt bottle with peroxide.

My old house had 3 cement patios/porches and I wanted something growing on all of them.. The new house has two cement patio areas so I still need plants to decorate those areas. That is where I use tropical/houseplants/tender bulbs in pots. I have 15 cannas, 8 Brugs, Bananna tree, Elephant Eears and tropical hibiscus plants. If you look in my photo album you can see all the pots. I love pots. I do no fuss ground gardens they are easy leaving me lots of time for my pots.

I will go look.

It all depends what you like . I do both. I been making up large pots for family to grow and they love my stuff.

I would love to have a tropical room with all glass.........But cant keep it warm up on our hill.
