I need some help---The 2 plants below are coming up in one of my flqwer beds---
Any and all help would be appreciated.

I am almost sure the first one is a Gaillardia----

But I have NO idea what this one is??? It is coming up where I had some Gaillardia and some Osteospermum planted--but I think not on both counts

The second one is a weed geranium, not an ornamental one...reseeds everywhere...I have them all over the place. First one does look like gaillardia.

i concur with weed geranium, some people call it herb robert, and has a pungent smell when the leaves are crushed

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

I was just going to say that the second one looks like herb robert. I have it in one of my beds and was told its hard to get rid of. I ripped it all out and it has started to try to come back already. If you don't want something like that there then pull it out now!

ok will do--I was hoping it was a Delphinium of some sort--

but an invasive weed is NOT what I want---I will be sure to get rid of it ASAP.

I think this may have been another of my Anemone--Annabella it looks just the same now as the flowering plant---I guess the leaves were just young yet---

pulling it out doesn't get rid of it. digging it up and getting *all* of the tuberous root doesn't get rid of it either!! i have it right over my peony...spent half a day last summer digging up all the bits of tuber/roots. either i missed a bunch of small pieces and they regrew or the tiny little roots that i didn't worry about getting out continued to grow. had almost as much this year as last :(

yank it and keep yanking it, is all i can say. eventually it will die if it keeps getting beheaded.
