You have a gorgeous garden there! What is the red-leafed plant in the first picture? The leaves look kind of like a Japanese Maple.

You're right...it's a Japanese Maple...not sure which one, though.

is that a clear gazing ball? How do you keep it from falling or blowing off.

You're right...it's a Japanese Maple...not sure which one, though.


They are really beautiful trees. I've seen them grow quite tall, so I guess that one will. Or do you keep it pruned to stay that size?

Tis particular cultivar doesn't get very tall, just wide. I have another one like it but with green leaves.

It's actually a replacement for the one that did blow off and break during a storm. I put some super glue on the edges of this one.

Your garden is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for the tip with the gazing ball. I picked up a globe for a quarter at the thrift shop and was wondering how I could attach it to a stand I have.
