Hello to everyone! I have tried to tend to plants once ( a Pink Splash) that ended in disaster. However, the Pink Splash was a spontaneous gift from my mother, and I knew zilch about plants and how to care for them at that time. This time I am more prepared and believe I can actually do this! Yet I begin tomorrow morning. So I hope to learn more as time passes and maybe develop a green thumb. I found this site which I hope to share some insight during my stay here, and learn from those who skill and experience is greater than my own.

I'm growing Pansies and Texas Bluebonnet's, which I chose because they are annuals. Annuals I think would be easier than perennials for a absolute beginner. I hope I made the right choice!

I am ready to be patient for my little seedlings to sprout! lol I'll post pictures and ask questions as the weeks and months pass.

It's great to be here!

Happy Planting!
~ Bluebonnet

wavy Hi gardner2009 Welcome to the Gardenhelper grin

I live in TX where Texas Bluebonnets are perennials. I started them two years ago and they get bigger as they self seed. Annual and perenials both can be easy,, with the right conditions,
The 3 most important requirements for success,, is
Good Soil~ amended soil with compost is the best soil
lighting ~ knowing what plants take full sun to partial sun/shade or Full shade
moisture ~ knowing what plants require moist soil(like a rung out sponge) or what plants can tolerate hot dry conditions once established!

All questions are welcomed and we'll do our best to answer all of them, Keep in mind it may take a bit , due to our personal schedules,

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.
