I am interested in growing a stevia plant. I heard the leaves are very sweet. I was told they are very hard to grow from seed. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Thanks, Nancy
I grew one and found it was easy to do but i didnt know how to grind up the leaves so i could use them in anything. I even did a search. Once the leaves r dried they still do not crumble good enough to put in tea and such and they r still a green color. I finally got rid of my plant because of that reason. I like growing things that i can get use from.

I know you got rid of it, but I am curious.. Did you ever try a mortar and pestle? I think this might work.. Here is a picture: http://www.cookthink.com/reference/4225/What_is_a_mortar_and_pestle I have also heard you can boil them down to a tiny bit of water and use it as a liquid. When I buy it at the healthfood store I buy it in the liquid form cause it seems to go further..
