that's a cool looking bird, angle! it is marked like the fench, huh? but with red instead of yellow. I have not seen any of those in my yard.
you are sure bringing in the birds with all those feeders you have. makes me want to put more out!

thanks Cricket, I took Thorny's advice and started using Black oil sunflower seeds,, I think the ceramic water catcher in the plant hanger did the trick,, along with a lot of prayers! lol
I looked it up I do believe it IS a Red Finch,,

That is actually a male House Finch They are probably more common than American Goldfinches. For every Goldfinch I see, I probably see 20 House Finches. Female House Finches have NO red. They are brown and white striped.

Oh Diane, I love to hear talk of that kind. It has been such a cold long winter that I feel as if spring will not ever come----so keep up the positive talk. kissie

I can just see you diane, out amongs the flowers for hours........

One thing I know about my camera , when you zoom a photo in , the photo does have grainy more than a natural setting.

But I am still having fun trying.. i dont understand the shutter speed settings........

But the cardinal were done better than mine.

Good luck keep trying ..

Yes, you have an aberration there, one of the yellow-orange variations of the male House Finch. I have a male House Finch in my yard with a slight orange tint to it. Not REAL rare, but always a DELIGHT to see!
