as you can see I don't plant in rows. I throw in the seeds and watch them grow. I've pulled from here 3 times already this spring and today after pulling I planted more seeds. This little spot will keep me in salads all summer.

Do you not wait for them to grow into full heads before you pick them? I'm very new at gardening and I'm growing some lettuce myself.

It doesn't get too big. I'll get that lettuce in the front left corner today or tomorrow. I suppose you could plant in rows and let them get bigger if you want. I just pick enough for us to eat. I don't keep it in the frig.
