ok!!! So you all know that we apparently had a black bear on our deck bird feeders this past week, right??? shock nervous And we are taking in yet ANOTHER cat, to make our total in the house 6 now! cat cat cat cat cat cat And we feed all sorts of wild birds with 3 feeders on the deck and others in the front yard and by the pond.

Sooooooooooo... this morning when I had finally fallen back to sleep after a very restless night, my husband wakes me to come look at something. "I'm sorry but you just have to see this" he said. snooz

And here is what I saw when my sleepy eyes looked out the back bathroom window! Yep - a WILD TURKEY perched on our second story deck railing!!!

So I ask you... what's next? haha lol

(my husband said a gorilla! rolz)

I know many many MANY years ago this was all rural area with lots of farms, but the farms are all but gone now, and the county is totally built up, being a suburb of NYC only about 40 miles away. So it is still unusual to see some of this wildlife still around. I do love it though! Makes the day interesting!!! thumbup

Lynne--WOW !!! I think you have more wildlife come to your yard than we do here--and I am sure that we are more rural than you are. It is so nice of you to share it with us. I know I enjoy it!!! thumbup

I think this is very cool. Well, until things get destroyed anyway. Very good pictures, Lynne.

You have a very attractive yard, Lynne! Cool pictures, I've only seen turkeys up close in a pen at a farm.
