A coworker gave me a piece of this last fall( Oct) she didn't know the name , she said it blooms blue/purple flowers , it appears to be "Clump" growing. and a couple of long stocks coming from the center/ It was very small when she gave it to me now it's pretty good size and I'll possibly be seeing bloom buds in the next few weeks,??? Any one have a clue??

Could it be Ajuga reptans? The leaves look too narrow and long though.

Diane and I were searching last night to find out what this is - it looked so very familiar to me. She said it might start with a "P", and I thought... pensemon. I looked up Penstemon digitalis Huskers Red, and the leaves are VERY VERY close. The only problem is that that plant flowers red, and Diane is sure the woman told her it flowers bluish purple. So I guess we need to wait to see it bloom now!

I think it is a Penstemon. There are varieties that bloom blue, purple, as well as pink, red, and white.
