there are several plants popping up in the garden that I haven't yet identified. I'll post one at a time so that it doesn't bog anything down!

I'd appreciate any help in identifying all of these :) I think the 4th may be BES?

The first one is a sedum - probably Autumn Joy.
The second looks like astilbe to me.
Not sure of the last two.

Sheri - I beg to differ with you - I think it looks more like astilbe leaves - like mine do anyway. None of my coreopsis look like that.

Sheri is blowing smoke.
My coreopsis were an air type like a corsage fern.
I disagree................

I can't wait to see everything in full bloom. There are a few more that I haven' taken any pics of yet. The sedum threw me for a loop. # 3 is all over the place. I have another picture to share. This guy was hanging out in my pond!

Good good.. Pennsylvania is so scenic....... Frogs an all. Lots of trees in my area......What does land look like without trees.? I had the answer. First trip we went out west........It is oh so flat and beautiful. Know what? Mostly farm lands and NO TREES.... That made coming home so intresting. Only one thing, after I drove so much on the flat land, our Penna hills scared me the first time back..LOL

oh the Penna hills..... I went for a bike ride yesterday on those hills...... ouch. :) Trees definitely do make a world of difference. I have a lot of different types of trees in my yard. I think that one is an apple tree but I bought the house at the end of last season so I am not sure. I guess I'll have to wait to see what it does. I would like to get rid of it and plant an emperor maple. does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of a tree without chopping it down. I don't want to relocate it but if someone else wants it I'd be more than happy to let them take it. It is a very large tree so it would have to be professionally removed. I thought about craigslisting it...

#1- Sedum #2- Astilbe #3- Daylily #4- Could be Black Eyed Susan. A closer look at the leaves can help.

I thought about craigslisting it... You have a large challange ......removing a huge tree. Up we live close to the sawmill, cut the trees down and haul them off. Not easy solution.. Maybe that is why the home owners sold?? Kidding? I love Penna trees...Neighbor got hers removed by the water authority, it looks horrible now.. They did it for the right of way, at no cost. Ps were country folks.

turn out I have 6 dead trees in the back of my yard as well as the one I want to get rid of. I think I found a new home for the emporer maple so I might leave that tree standing. So # 4 seems to be in question. Here is a new picture with the flowers.
