Hello out there! i wanted to introduce myself. I am magicalbunny saying hello all the way in Pittsburgh PA! I am really into gardening. last year I planted some strawberry plants but ants ate the seeds before they got a chance to grow. I might try it again in the summer when the weathers nice.
I am also into Role Playing Games (R.P.G) and anime. I will also sit down and play webkinz for hours on end (i got a cotton candy bunny today!) as long as I don't have anything else to do.
I am open to visitor messages, friend requests, and PMs. If you could PM me with your webkinz user name I can add you to my friend list!
Hi there magicalbunny! Welcome to the Gardener's forum- its a great place to find out info you might need about all things gardening! I had the same problem with ants eating my strawberry seeds as well. I just started them off in some potting soil on a windowsill before i transplanted them outside. We here in Hopatcong have to start many things indoors because our very hilly/moutainous town is normally 5-10 degrees cooler than around us. If you need anything that has to do with gardening, this is the place to go! Again, WELCOME TO THE GARDENER'S FORUM!

I'm in the Williamsport area...so not too far away from you. This year I will be starting some seeds in a frame outside, tho, no strawberries because we do not eat them.
I am from Singapore and keep some cactus, succulents, orchids, roses and carnivorous plants. I will visit Pittsburgh area at end May 09. Will like to take the opportunity to visit some good nurseries having them. It will be nice if you could suggest the name and address of the good nurseries around pittsburgh selling them.
Haha... I will be in Pittsburgh area from 17 to 23 May 2009.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
Welcome Magic Bunny I also live in the 'burgh. You will love it here great people and great advice. WE ARE NEIGHBORS!!!!!!!
Ivy welcome to you. I love succulents also but have not found to many here I order most of mine. It is not a garden plant for us because of our harsh winters so most do not carry them. I have not found any houseplant stores in the burg.
O.o Cinta we are!!! What area in PA do you live in? I live in Dormont... lol. One day there was like an ant hill underneath a weed and I pulled out the weed and like 50 ants poured out!!!! We had to lure them away with berries and then my granddaughter did not like running into the hill (even without the ants) everytime she goes to ride her bike... so she got on her boots and jumped on it like twelve times!! It happened yesterday.
SORRY I have been ignoring my own welcome thread!! I saw it as the one with the latest post so I had to come back. ♥ I totally forgot it was there!
and Icy if your coming to the 'burgh soon, then I have to say you will love it here. Although I wouldn't really call my community part of the 'burgh area... unless Dormont counts. Of course... I really don't know... does anyone know if Dormont is considered part of the burgh area? (we pittsburgers lol)
