I am glad to have found this board! I love to garden. I do both inside and out. If it grows and is pretty I want it. I also have 2 ponds that I dug in the backyard, so I am on the hunt for water plants also.

we are glad to have you and we'd love to see pics of your zoo in our critter corner.
Hello guys and gals. Newbie here from East Tennessee ( Johnson City to be exact) . I am new to the whole gardening thing. I have had and still own a couple of aquariums, but have never owned or try to grow any kind of plant before, so I brought two pieces of spider plants online since I read somewhere that they are good starter plants..... I ran across this message board ( thanks to google) while doing some research online about houseplants. It looks like I have yet a lot more reading to do. I hope I do a good job at keeping them alive once I get them...... Thank you so much for having me to be a part of this message board.

Welcome Goldenchild! I'm not houseplant expert, but I had a spider plant that I forgot about and left in the garage for a year. Then I forgot about it again and left it in the basement for about 6 months. It's doing fine!!
