Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I live in
the desert, where it is SO hot and gardening can be a challenge.
I've been here a few years (8) and finally want to get back into
gardening. I'm from Colorado and gardening was easy there but
even the water here is a challenge to many plants that I want
to grow. The water has a lot of mineral content which some plants are
very sensitive to.
I'm just starting my research on what I can grow and
what will grow and of course what I "WANT" to grow
 I'm excited to get started but since the hot summer
is already beginning I may have to content myself with your
garden and continue to learn. I must confess I've already
killed my strawberry plant boohoo but I had 6 yummy big
strawberries and then of course I killed my tomato plant
too and never did get any ripe tomatoes. boohoo
My next project will be a passion ivy to shade off the front
of my home, it faces south so the front room gets extra hot.
I'm off to do more research now.

Hi Alice. I lived at Fort Huachuca for a while when I was growing up. We had one, little, spindly tree in our yard and people thought we were lucky. Do you want to try more tomatoes?

I just love wisteria, its so beautiful and I even thought of planting
it in front of my home but it would require a really strong trellis, so
I have opted for something not so heavy.
