My husband and I are not brand new to gardening but we recently moved and now have a gigantic garden. We just got everything into the ground. We have toyed with getting ladybugs in the past but never did. This year we are going to, but I see several choices and am unclear on which to chose. In the catalogue we gave you can get either 1500 ladybugs only, praying mantis eggs by themselves or a combo which has 1000 ladybugs, 1000 laceworms and 1000000 nematodes. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe the ladybugs and praying mantis, but not for any particular reason other than the praying mantis seem really fun.

Are there other things to consider? We live in Mass and we have a lot of bats at night. Are the bats just going to gobble those right up?

Is it even too late to get any of these bugs at the end of May?

Thanks for your help.
