I haven't seen any primroses for sale for several years here in Virginia. Has anyone else seen them? I'd really like to have a bunch of them for the shady side of my garden.

They were sold here very early, a month before last average frost date, maybe you missed them. Fact is, though, this was the first year I noticed them, I'm thinking they're not sold here very often.

Well at least that means they do have a source. Maybe I just have to ask them for some. I do like them and I have plenty of shady places for them.

They sell them up here as perennials. They're all sold out now, but I can send you one if you want if I do happen to find one :)I also have some variegated goutweed - I think you wanted some of that too?

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Hi Kenny,

we can't really do plants across the border but thanks for the thought. Anyway I don't have anything to trade right now. Everything went out on the new property.

Do what I do - start some seeds.

Click here for the ones I used. They're easy to grow.

Some of mine are shown here with Intermediate Bearded iris Eleanor Roosevelt.

That explains why I don't see them here. It's too hot. That's sad. I really like them but I guess I'll have to admire them from afar from now on. Thanks for the info neko.

Do you know if there are any plants that look like them but are warm weather and shady?
